Mountain Biking Bachelor Party in VT and NH

This was no normal bachelor party (yes, I am getting married in a few weeks), the closest strip club was 100 miles away, which is fine. Nah... my nuptials are an excuse for me and a few of my riding buddies to plunk down good money on a mountain bike tour in VT and NH. We had 2 guides Pete and Tim and they took us on some beautiful trails that we'll not soon forget. The days basically went like this:

Woke up to Tim's "coffee call" at 7am. Sat around sipping coffee, while Tim and Pete cook breakfast, which was either french toast, pancakes, or eggs, etc. Good stuff!

Start riding sweet flowy fast New England singletrack around 9:30.

Break for lunch around noon. The guides would then throw down a nice lunch spread of cold cuts, veggies and pb and j (my new fav sandwich is PB, thin layer of Nutella, and a lil bit o jam). After a little meal, we'd bullsh!t about the ride and do a lil bit of b@llbusting. Freinds do that.

Around 2 we'd hit the trails and do another 2-3 hours. More sweet flowy ST.

At 5pm or so, we'd return to camp and setup tents and start hitting the beer cooler.

By 7pm Tim and Pete had been cooking up some dinner and this was usually grilled chicken, or beef fajitaa or dutch oven lasagna. Man these guys now how to cook in camp.

By 8pm the beer's still flowing, we're whooppin it up and laughin at really dumb stories, usually at someone's expense (and its usually someone who is present at the time)

By 9pm we're snoring. Zzzzzzzz

Next day: Wash Rinse Repeat. Actually some of just repeated, without washing.

Basic Itin:
Thu and Fri we rode the Kindom trails near Burke Mtn. I think we hit most of the really good ST there. Swoopy fast and fun! This place drips "flow".
Sat and Sun we rode on tight sniggle track near Conway, somewhere off the Kanc Highway. Lots of super fast twisty and tight trails thru the pines. full speed pedaling, tires rubbing the bike ahead, both wheels sliding around turns. Awesome. Awesome, Awesome. I am so NOT used to these kind of trails down here in NJ. You rarely get going this fast.

On Saturday night we got "real crazy" and stayed up past quiet hours! Oh my... This was mainly due to the fact that we passed the Maker's Mark around the campfire as an appertif. That bottle did not last long...

In a nutshell, I could not ask for a better bachelor party. Hanging with my mtb buds, riding b@lls to the wall every day, then eatin' like pigs and drinkin' like monkeys. What could be better. We rode a little slower on Sunday but only a little.

Thanks to my pals GDR, Skeeter, Indy and Riz. It was not cheap but we made a good time of it. And special props to our kick @ss guides Tim Bateman (the single speed monster) and Pete Nimmer (the professor) of Western Spirits.

Good times...

Here come the pics...

This is the weather that greeted us everday... 4 straight blue sky days, ~ 75 degrees.
